Terms & Rules

These terms and rules govern entry into prize draws run by The Farm Shop Hulland. Please read them before entering. Entering a draw means you accept these terms.

Draft — pending review. This page is a structural draft prepared for internal and compliance review. It has not been signed off by [Jonjo / a solicitor] and must not be relied on as final, binding terms until that review is complete.

1. The Promoter

These draws are promoted by [The Farm Shop Hulland Ltd / registered business name], registered in England and Wales under company number [company number], whose registered office is at [registered office address] ("the Promoter", "we", "us").

The Promoter can be contacted at [contact email/phone] for any question relating to these terms or a specific draw.

2. Eligibility

  • Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
  • Entrants must be resident in the United Kingdom, unless a specific draw states otherwise.
  • Employees, officers or contractors of the Promoter, and their immediate family members or persons otherwise connected with the running of a draw, are not eligible to enter that draw.
  • The Promoter may ask an entrant to confirm their eligibility at any time, including before releasing a prize. See Section 5.

3. How To Enter

Each draw offers two equal ways to enter. Neither route gives an entrant a better or worse chance of winning — every valid entry, however it is received, is entered into the same draw on an equal footing.

Paid entry

Entrants may purchase one or more tickets for a draw through the website, at the price shown on that draw's page, up to the maximum entries permitted. Each ticket purchased is one entry into that draw.

Free postal entry

No purchase is necessary to enter. Entrants may enter for free by post by writing their full name, address and phone number on a plain postcard or in a sealed envelope, clearly stating which draw they are entering, and posting it to the address shown on that draw's page. One valid postal entry is worth one ticket, entered into the same draw alongside paid entries, with no disadvantage compared to a paid entry. Full postal entry instructions are shown on each individual draw page and take precedence over this summary if there is any difference in wording — see the draw entry page for the current step-by-step process.

One entry per envelope for postal entries. Entries — paid or postal — received after a draw's stated closing date cannot be included in that draw.

4. Draw Process & Winner Selection

Draws close on the date and time shown on the relevant draw page, or when all available tickets have been allocated, whichever happens first. The winner is selected at random from all valid entries — paid and postal — received before the draw closes, using [method of random selection to be confirmed, e.g. a random number generator / livestream draw].

The winner will be notified using the contact details provided at entry, by [phone / email, to be confirmed], within [X] days of the draw closing. The winner's name may also be published on the relevant draw page, using their first name and town/area only unless they agree otherwise.

If a draw does not sell the minimum number of tickets needed to proceed, or is otherwise cancelled, entrants will be notified via the draw page and [refund / rollover policy to be confirmed] will apply to any paid entries.

5. Prize Winner Verification

Before a prize is released, the winner must provide proof of identity and age (for example a passport or driving licence) confirming they meet the eligibility requirements in Section 2. The Promoter may withhold a prize, or select a reserve winner from the remaining valid entries, if the original winner cannot be verified or does not respond within [X] days of being notified.

6. Limits of Liability

Save for death or personal injury arising from the Promoter's negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law, the Promoter's liability arising out of or in connection with a draw is limited to the value of the relevant entry fee paid, or the prize itself, as applicable.

The Promoter is not responsible for entries lost, delayed or misdirected due to postal service, technical or network failure outside the Promoter's reasonable control.

7. Data Protection

The Promoter collects the personal details entrants provide (such as name, address, phone number and email) in order to run a draw, verify eligibility and winners, and fulfil prizes. Details are not used for any other purpose without consent, and are held only as long as necessary for these purposes and any legal or accounting requirement.

Full detail on how personal data is collected, used and protected will be set out in the Promoter's Privacy Policy [link to Privacy Policy page — to be published].

8. Complaints Procedure

Any complaint about the conduct of a draw should be sent in writing to [complaints contact — email/postal address] within [X] days of the draw in question. The Promoter will acknowledge a complaint within [X] days and aim to resolve it within [X] days of acknowledgement.

9. General

  • The Promoter may amend these terms from time to time; the current version will always be published on this page, and the version in force at the time of entry applies to that entry.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
  • If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder will continue to apply.
